WHAT'S INSIDE?
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
I built this guide because every 'ultimate travel resource' I found was either too basic or written by someone travelling with a production budget and a sponsor.
This one is built from actual trips. 30+ countries. Solo, couple, and small group. Buses, trains, questionable boats, and one very wrong turn in rural Nepal.
Inside:
- A budget calculator that works on real numbers, not optimistic guesses.
- Where I actually find cheap flights - the tools, the timing, the tricks that work.
- How to get around without a tour group. Ground transport across every region, explained simply.
- What to do when you get there - activities, tours, the things worth paying for.
- Money without drama. Cards, cash, fees, and how not to get robbed quietly by your bank.
- Safety - practical, not paranoid.
- What actually matters for solo and small group travel.
- The apps I still open every single trip. Not a list of 40. The ones that earn their space on your phone.
- A packing starter kit. What comes, what stays home.

*My name is Olga. Former lawyer, now yoga teacher and adventure trip organiser. Amsterdam-based, extensively travelled. I've trekked in Nepal four times - including to 5,000 metres. Walked 500+km of the Camino de Santiago. Been to India, Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand, the Philippines, the Caribbean. Mostly self-organised, mostly figured out as I went. I didn't start fit. I didn't start with a plan. I started with a very long list of reasons why it probably wasn't the right time. I built this guide so you don't spend three weeks in 40 browser tabs like I did.
