Have you been neglecting your me-time? Or being restless?
I feel you! I have been there and I know what has helped me.
Here’s my story:
I’ve been practising Yoga since 2010. I discovered it at a moment when I had lost the balance between my family, my job as a lawyer and myself. I had lost my personality and forgotten about my interests. I had put on hold everything I love - going to festivals, reading other books but professional articles, traveling around the world, hiking in the mountains, spending time with friends.... I'd got into home-work-kids-repeat mode and I'd felt desperate and overwhelmed. Even an exhausting one-hour daily session of running was no longer enough to help me sleep at night. Eventually, I decided to add Yoga classes to my stressful daily routine. And It was love at a first sight! After the very first practice, my curiosity and interest were awaken. Besides, getting this feeling of being connected with myself physically, mentally, spiritually… it got me hooked up in an instant and for good.
That’s how my Yoga journey begun. I was (and I still am) curious and eager to learn and explore more. I want to discover all traditions, styles, teachings. Every class I attend, every book I read reveals a bit of philosophy, a lot of inspiration, love and creativity.
Yoga taught me how to listen to my needs, how to clear my mind and prioritize and how to read the signs that my body gives me. Now my lawyer's job is in the past and I am happy to be a Yoga entrepreneur and traveler and to run my small business as a virtual assistant. Being a multi-passionate and super active person myself, I successfully implement yoga, mindfulness, self-care, hiking, trekking, and creative activities in my daily life - both in the busy and the easy-going days. And yes, you can find me dancing all night long on a rock festival again (well, with friends, husband and... my teens), exploring the world as a solo backpack traveler, hiking in the mountains or walking in the nearby parks, setting up a tent or a camper van nearby a campfire, binge-watching TV shows, enjoying a good movie in the theater or chatting over a cocktail in the bar and laughing out loud on lemons that life generously offers :)
What I like about Yoga is that it is Universal knowledge and it serves everyone's needs: Integral Yoga gives balance, Sivananda Yoga - simplicity, Vinyasa Flow Yoga - creativity, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga - power and discipline, Yin Yoga - stillness, Prana Flow Yoga - energy, Restorative Yoga - peace, Kids yoga - magic. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience all these traditions and every class, every minute as a student, disciple and a teacher inspire me to create my own teaching style and build my personal presence on the Yoga mat. Today I invite you to experience Yoga with me - in a yoga class or on a yoga travel adventure and enjoy the bliss of active relaxation.

I know, it sounds weird... "My" students? No, these are the people I really love and enjoy working, sharing yoga and practising with.
Who they think they are? Well, I asked them and here are the answers. They think they are active, funny, creative, loving, caring, playful, artistic, curious, adventurous, sensitive, optimistic explorers, nature- and outdoor life lovers, dedicated parents and simply homo sapiens. They love walking, having fun, painting, cooking, gardening, biking (of course, we are in Netherlands), playing sports, swimming, dancing, running, hiking, making pictures, art, reading, sleeping (we all do love sleeping!), being by the sea, spending time with their families, being connected, being offline, being seen and felt... What I see when we practise together? I see beautiful passionate conscious souls, who love challenges and never give up. I see lovable people, who's hearts are so big and open, so they could hug the whole world. And it makes me wake up every morning with a smile and energy, it makes my heart singing. Thank you for being part of my life and yoga journey. Thank you for having me in your lives. Namaste. What "My"students say about my classes?
Again: "My" students?!?!... Come on. The people I love working, sharing and practising yoga with.
I asked them. Here is what they said: |
BE ACTIVE, Stay ACTIVE - Some others dreams and goals...
As a multi-passionate person, I have always worked on more projects related to yoga and active life than just teaching yoga (like running a tiny yoga shala in the mountain where there will be affordable yoga and hiking retreats; like starting a monthly yoga membership, designed for busy people; like hiking and filming the Balkan Mountain trek - from peak Kom to cape Emine; like doing karma yoga and voluntary work in Bihar School of Yoga ashram in Munger, India, etc.).
I wish I could dedicate more time to these projects but life challenges and the reality we all live in brought me back to "having a real job" :) and working behind-the-desk for living.
I do believe that there will be time and space in the Universe where I will be able to focus only on yoga and realize all my projects.
This is the reason for keeping a donation page active - if you feel like supporting me - you are very welcome to donate or contact me - maybe we share dreams and could cooperate in making them come true?
