Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Welcome to Nepal. Your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Time to rest, explore nearby streets, or simply enjoy your first evening in the Himalayas. Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing and Welcome Dinner We explore the cultural heart of Nepal with visits to sacred temples and historical sites, including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening we share our welcome dinner and celebrate Bhai Tika, the final and most meaningful day of the Tihar festival. Day 3 - Drive to Pokhara A scenic drive by SUV or jeep takes us from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approximately 6-9 hours). The road follows river valleys, terraced hillsides, and small villages before reaching the relaxed lakeside city beneath the Annapurna range. Day 4 - Drive to Ghandruk and Trek to Tadapani (2,500 m) We drive into the mountains to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk (3-4 hours). From here the trek begins with a gradual climb through forest trails to Tadapani (4-5 hours). Day 5 - Tadapani to Dobato (3,300 m) Today we leave the busier trails and enter quieter terrain. The path winds through dense rhododendron forests and high ridgelines before reaching Dobato after approximately 6-7 hours of trekking. Day 6 - Dobato to Shibung (3,000 m) A gentler trekking day through alpine landscapes and small pastures. We descend slightly to Shibung village where we spend the night in a traditional mountain lodge. Day 7 - Shibung to Khopra Danda (4,200 m) One of the most rewarding days of the trek. A steady climb leads us to Khopra Danda, a spectacular ridge with panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Nilgiri, and Machapuchare. We take time to acclimatize and enjoy the sunset over the Himalayas. Day 8 - Khayer Lake Excursion (4,827 m) A challenging but unforgettable day hike to the sacred Khayer Lake, one of the highest and most spiritual alpine lakes in Nepal. After soaking in the views and atmosphere, we return to Khopra Danda for the night. Trekking time approximately 8-9 hours. Day 9 - Khopra Danda to Paudwar, Drive to Tatopani We descend through forests and mountain villages to Paudwar (around 5 hours). From there a jeep takes us to Tatopani, famous for its natural hot springs - the perfect place to relax tired trekking legs. Day 10 - Tatopani to Pokhara, Flight to Kathmandu After breakfast we drive to Pokhara (around 4 hours), then take a short domestic flight back to Kathmandu. From there we continue to the historic city of Bhaktapur. Day 11 - Bhaktapur Exploration A relaxed day exploring one of Nepal’s most beautiful heritage cities. Ancient temples, brick squares, traditional crafts, and everyday life create a magical atmosphere. Day 12 - Departure Transfer to the airport for your international flight home, carrying memories of high mountains, quiet trails, and unforgettable moments in Nepal. |
